Considering the socio-economic reality of Brazil and from the relevance of the issues related to entrepreneurship and organizational innovation in the country, the importance of sustainability for the organizations could become a solution for the integration of entrepreneurship with innovation. The objective of this research is to highlight the relevance of sustainability for organizations as a way to trigger the integration of entrepreneurship toward innovation in the Brazilian context. Various exploratory and descriptive researches on the dynamics of entrepreneurship, innovation and sustainability in the main organizations of the Serra Gaúcha (RS), Brazil were carried out through the Multidisciplinary Research Group on Innovation and Competitiveness, in partnership with a research Nucleus on Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Sustainability. The main results indicate that the key sectors of this Brazilian regional economy present less “innovation intensity,” which are mainly characterized by internal organizational activities of innovation, preventing them to become “regional systems of innovation,” and which presupposes the lack of sustainability. Those limitations can be characterized as “innovation ghettos.” In that logic, the researchers have also demonstrated the presence of “ghettos of sustainability, ghettos of innovation, and therefore, ghettos of sustainability and innovation” in the sectors of this Brazilian regional economy, but in differentiated and restricted perspectives.

The objective of this article was to analyze the poultry and derivatives commerce between Brazil and China, taking into account the current market and the perspectives for the next years. The method used was the bibliographic review and analysis of secondary data from different sources, associated with the Market Orientation Theory and the Value Chain Theory. Nowadays, China is Brazil's main commercial partner in the international market, but taking into account the chicken meat and its derivatives, having Brazil as the first worldwide exporter and China, the second largest consumer, an effective commercial relationship has not been established yet. A representação do mundo agrícola, que ao longo do último século tendeu a reforçar a imagem de único bloco, hoje é visualizada pela ótica da agricultura familiar, dos complexos agro-industriais, da agricultura empresarial, da agricultura tradicional e pelo agronegócio. Essas percepções legitimam e norteiam o futuro das relações no mundo rural e das configurações cidade-campo. A modernização da agricultura obteve forte influência neste setor, portanto, este artigo visa compreender melhor como se deu essas mudanças na agricultura familiar e como a busca por rendas não-agrícolas na microrregião da Quarta Colônia localizada no centro do estado do Rio Grande do Sul acontecem. Utilizando um método exploratório e qualitativo, através de visita in loco e entrevistas com agentes participantes e atuantes no CONDESUS da Quarta Colônia, pôde-se observar que região tem visto na pluriatividade um meio de fortalecer as agroindústrias locais e tornou-se numa forma de renda alternativa para a região. Também se constatou dificuldades operacionais de continuidade dos projetos implantados devido a não legalização das agroindústrias em nível municipal, estadual e federal, e não há ainda uma preocupação muito grande com a questão de enquadramento sanitário dos produtos produzidos de forma colonial e com mão-de-obra familiar. O desenvolvimento regional da Quarta Colônia passa pelo envolvimento dos produtores familiares e pelos projetos do CONDESUS que em parceria com os municípios tem investido em novas formas de agregação de renda e redução do êxodo na região.
